I'm 14, am I old enough for a boyfriend?

I am going into high school this year and there is this guy I like. I haven't had a boyfriend before, but I think I'm ready. I want to get used to dating and be able to figure out what I really want in a guy. I don't want to have sex or do anything really serious. Do I sound old/mature enough to you, or should I wait until I am older/more mature? :)
